In this issue... Spring is in the air!! For those of us up in the "Far North" that means, time to put away the snow boots and heavy jackets and pull out the bicycle and sunglasses. Spring is also a time of new beginnings and growth. And while for Coop Coffees and the Fair Trade movement growth happens in every season...this spring is particularly bright! Coop Sol welcomes its new Board of Directors, staff and roaster members embark upon a year full of exciting travel and project work, and plans advance for a promising Fair Trade Futures Conference. In this issue... Despite the fact that it's only February, 2010 has already proven to be quite a busy year! Riding on the coattails of the holiday craze, Coop Sol's annual general meeting took place in Peru with nearly 40 participants -- roasters and producer reps alike -- taking part in a week of discussions and activities. 2010 already has a couple of key events lined up on the calendar from Valentine's Day (great way to support the movement by choosing delicious fair trade chocolate for your loved one), World Fair Trade Day, and the Fair Trade Futures Conference (early-bird registration now open!).
