What We Do

Cooperative Coffees matches the green coffee needs of our 23 owner-roasters with small-scale coffee farmer cooperatives; establishing direct, equitable Fair Trade relationships between these roasters and growers. We strive to promote Fair Trade and sustainable development alternatives in both the North and the South, while continuing to sell the highest quality coffee on the market.

Our main task as an importing coop, is to import coffee.  However, we have a host of other mandates that are crucial to trying to be the best Fair Trade coffee importer out there.

Visiting producer coops is a huge part of what we do.  Whether we are starting a new relationship with a producer partner, or striving to nourish a healthy and reciprocal working relationship, we feel that face to face time through travel engagement is important. Here are some of our recent reports:
