Coop Sol Annual General Meeting
- The AGM for Coop Coffees will continue to be in the fall. In the past, the location would alter between a roaster city, and a producer country. From now on, it will only be in a roaster city. Next year’s AGM will be in Traverse City (home of Higher Grounds)
- The AGM for CoopSol will be in the spring, and will be held in a producer country. The location for next years AGM Coop Sol has not yet been determined.
Producer Voice: Producer Members in CoopSol
CoopSol is a solidarity cooperative. It has a mixed model, meaning that we have
* User members (roasters or producers that are linked to CC)
* Support members (Coop Coffees is a support member)
* Worker members
Solidarity cooperatives in Quebec are open to international members. This structure, gives us the opportunity to turn the gesture of relationship building into a
concrete proposal to further strengthen producer voice and sharing decision-making power with our producer partners.
As a Solidarity Cooperative, we can easily incorporate the producer
voice as legal and equal members of CoopSol, inviting them to
help us set priorities and formulate
policy from the ground floor up – to be presented to the CC Board for vote and ultimate approval.
