Board Responsibilities.
Our board is charged with overseeing the work of our staff and
volunteer committees. We attempt to make most policy decisions based on
a written proposals and recommendations from the committees. The board
meets five times per year via teleconference and once per year at our
annual general assembly of all members.

The heart of our cooperative's governance, policy and procedural work
is the volunteer committee structure. All issues that confront our coop
are screened by the question "Which committee is most capable of
addressing the issue". Members of Cooperative Coffees are expected to
serve actively on at least one committee and many roasters have 3 or
more staff persons involved in the work of our committees.
- Staff.

Cooperative Coffees' staff is broken between our two offices, our main
office in Americus, and our producer relations office (and Coop Sol
office) in Montreal. These are the folks that make the day to day
operations of this organization possible.
- Helpful Diagram of Structure.

These illustrate (in technicolor!) the task division between CoopCoffees the Americus office, and CoopSolidaridad, the Montreal Office.
