APROCOMSA

The Asociación de Productores COMSA, or APROCOMSA, is the association of producers of  Café Orgánico Marcala S.A. - COMSA. To ensure transparency, traceability and good organizational governance, as well as to comply with Fair Trade certification requirements, in 2023 COMSA formalized and incorporated their producers into a democratically governed producer association. Comprising of both share-holding and non-shareholding members of COMSA, the organization is legally separate, but fundamentally integrated with COMSA in its operations.  Following this change, COMSA now serves as an exporter, commercializer, dry mill and service provider for the export of green coffee, whereas APROCOMSA is the producer association that grows, collects and processes washed and honey parchment, and natural coffees.
