KODUKAK
In 2006, 257 coffee farmers from the Kigeyo region of Rwanda icame together to collect and process coffee cherries with the goal of improving the quality of Kigeyo’s coffee. KODUKAK (Koperative Dutezimbere Kawa Kigeyo) officially became a registered cooperative in 2015, subsequently receiving its FLO certification in early 2016.
Located on the shores of Lake Kivu, KODUKAK is a member of COOPAC, which was founded in 2001. COOPAC works with over 8,000 members across six areas in Rwanda's Western Province: Ack, Ubuzima, Tuzamurane, Kopabm, Abakundakurima, and Abanyamurava.
Cooperative Coffees began working with KODUKAK in 2016.
